Guidelines for Contributors

The MST Review serves as a venue for the discussion of contemporary issues in theological, biblical, philosophical, historical, cultural, missiological and pastoral studies. Subject matter should touch on topics that concern researchers/scholars, professors, theology students, professional ministers, and pastoral/church workers.

Submission may be of four kinds:
• Research manuscripts (approximate length of 4,000-10,000
words)
• Research notes, intended to welcome shorter manuscripts which
qualify as less-developed research articles (approximate length
of 3,000-3,900 words)
• Creative Essays (approximate length of 2,000-3,000 words)
• Book or film reviews (approximate length of 800-1,800 words)

Articles in English or Filipino are welcome.

Article contributors should submit manuscripts, following Kate Turabian’s A Manual for Writers, 7th edition.

Manuscripts submitted should be computer-generated, double-spaced (including notes and references), and formatted as a Microsoft Word document. Images and figures should be submitted separately in JPEG format (with at least 200 dpi in resolution). These should be labeled and referenced within the text. Moreover, seeking permission to reprint pictures and the like is the author’s responsibility.

Submissions should be provided with an abstract (100 words) and keywords (at least 4 keywords).

The submission of manuscript must to be accompanied by a brief biographical information about the author (100-150 words).

The submission must include a note that states that the article or essay has not been published or under review elsewhere.

MST Review’s receipt of submitted manuscripts should not be construed as an approval for publication. No monetary honorarium is provided, but a contributor whose work is published will receive two (2) copies of the issue and three (3) off-print copies of the article or essay.

MST Review does not require a fee to publish an article in the journal. The MST Review welcomes authors at any time of the year. Soft-copies of manuscripts may be sent to [email protected],
[email protected] or [email protected]
