Stephen Bevans is a priest in the missionary congregation of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD). He is the Louis J. Luzbetak, SVD Professor of Mission and Culture, Emeritus, at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago, USA. He has published and edited over twenty books, among which are Models of Contextual Theology, An Introduction to Theology in Global Perspective, and, with Roger P. Schroeder, Constants in Context: A Theology of Mission for Today. His latest book is Community of Missionary Disciples: The Continuing Creation of the Church (Orbis Books). He and Roger Schroeder are currently working on a book on Missiology as Attraction.
