Résumé

In this paper, I will look first into the postmodern situation that made the issue of dealing with non-Christian religions more important than ever. I will deal with the evolution of the Catholic Church‘s teachings and attitudes toward other religions. I will then bring forward some ideas and proposals from various theologians whose contributions may help us outgrow or even transcend the present impasse in the debate.
