Abstract

The article explores some views from the Catholic Church regarding artificial intelligence (AI). It covers the following: 1) a description of the development of AI and the ethical issues raised by it; 2) an overview of the ethical considerations of the Catholic Church through a survey of three events and two documents in relation to AI; 3) an interpretative commentary; and 4) an attempt to offer a Christological-ethical reflection on AI.

Teofilo Giovan Pugeda III

Teofilo Giovan S. Pugeda III is a lecturer at the Theology Department of Ateneo de Manila University. He earned his Master of Arts in Theological Studies with a concentration in moral theology at Ateneo de Manila University and Loyola School of Theology.
