MST Review

MST Review is a semi-annual, international, open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research in theology and religious studies. Operating under a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, the journal unites academic theology with lived faith, fostering inclusive human development and ecological care. It aims to publish research that directly informs and transforms domains of scholarship, ecclesial practice, and pastoral ministry. It prioritizes deeply imaginative articles that address pressing social issues and actively break new ground. The scope includes:
° Missiology & Intercultural Studies (Global and local mission trends, contextualization, interfaith dialogue, and pluralistic studies);
° Church Practices & Ecclesiology (Liturgical, worship and contemplative studies, homiletics, popular religiosity, and Christian education);
° Public Theology & Social Engagement (Faith in the public square, ethics, and community development);
° Pastoral Ministry & Leadership (Pastoral care, ecclesiastical administration, strategic leadership, and spiritual formation); and
° Empirical Theology & Case Studies (Qualitative research, mixed-methods field studies, contextual hermeneutics, and ministry case analyses).
Situated in Southeast Asia—a region defined by profound cultural, linguistic, and religious pluralism—the journal also serves as a critical scholarly conduit between the Global South and the international academic community. It seeks to publish contributions where local ministry insights and universal frameworks meet, and global research is validated by real-world application.
